THE BAD VS THE GOOD

Let me get this straight. According to the shouters on the right it's bad for the government to use our tax money to provide for the populace, except for defending our shores, of course, but it's good for our government to use our tax dollars to provide for the populace of Iraq and Afghanistan. Am I missing something here?
